About the job

At Alfa Laval We are seeking a customer-focused, detail-oriented person to join our Human Resources team in Houston, Texas or Richmond, Virginia.

The Total Rewards Analyst is an associate level position on our HR shared services team and will work on the implementation and administration of compensation and benefits programs across the US in accordance with Alfa Laval’s Total Rewards strategy. This individual is responsible for executing decisions about programs and associate pay through research, market studies, and analysis.

In this role, you will be an active member of the HR Shared Services team with a functional reporting line to the Compensation & Benefits Leadership for the Americas, you will become a trusted partner to the HR Business Partner and Business communities within the Company.

This is a hybrid position located in Houston, TX or Richmond, Virginia.

As a part of the team, you will:

COMPENSATION

  • Administer compensation programs for the United States, including merit, bonus, offers, and promotions. This includes activities such as assisting with planning, budgeting, systems setup, communications, and analysis
  • Provide Managers guidance and counsel on salary proposals, salary structure, job evaluations, promotion requests, and other comp-related programs to support organizational priorities
  • Support market analysis by working with Compensation partners globally to match jobs and assisting with annual survey participation
  • Assist Regional Compensation & Benefits Manager with project work to develop and maintain strategic Compensation programs in line with Alfa Laval’s Total Rewards strategy
  • Research compensation issues to provide analysis and present recommendations for quick resolution
  • Collaborate with partners and stakeholders in HR, Finance, Payroll and external vendors on administration, reporting, and analysis
  • Support the HRBPs in evaluating positions and conducting market pricing for jobs
  • Utilize available technology and identify enhancements to process, data, or usages, which in turn facilitate efficient and scalable practices
  • Produce standard and ad hoc reports for use in management decision making
  • Be an advocate and ambassador for Alfa Laval Total Rewards Philosophy

  • Assist with annual benefits enrollment through effective planning, testing, and communication
  • Manage and maintain relationships with benefits vendors, ensuring high service quality, and coordinate with external vendors and insurance carriers to resolve claims and coverage issues
  • Support audits of benefit programs to ensure data accuracy, as necessary
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of all employee benefits information, adhering to privacy policies and regulations

What you know:

You have excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. You have high energy, a positive attitude, and enjoy developing the customer relationship, and:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Finance, or Accounting
  • 5+ years of human resources experience within a large organization in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
  • Understanding of reward practices, and financial benefits programs, in large global organizations
  • Strong analytical and computer skills, and an extremely high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience building Power BI reports preferred
  • Workday experience is a plus
  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision

At Alfa Laval, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine your total compensation package. We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job, background, skills, and experience to get it right.  The base salary for this role is typically $70,000 to $100,000
