Position Summary

Leads team that reviews, analyzes and monitors agent and dealer portfolios (losses and profitability). Team creates and executes business solutions to address underperformance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads, directs and has full management accountability for subordinate staff; acts as a change-oriented and engaging mentor/coach who builds confidence in and empowers his/her teams; one who communicates goals, expectations, and purpose clearly as well as the actions required to achieve them.
  • Guide the team through selection, prioritization, execution and delivery of account review activities and presentations. Review execution and results with the team to identify successes and opportunities for improvement.
  • Draft and deliver reports and presentations outlining team activities, findings, identifying and explaining potential risks, and recommended solutions.
  • Monitor, evaluate, measure and report on the impact of decisions and actions made by team
  • Lead initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging loss trends, especially those with broad impact
  • Establish and maintain communication with external and internal clients; understand their needs, resolve issues, and meet expectations
  • Participate in external client meetings as necessary.
  • Build relationships, influence, and collaborate with others, including Dealers, Agents, Sales and Management, to implement effective and reasonable profitability solutions
  • Assist in analysis and reviews of national accounts as needed
  • Oversee updates and distribution of standard monthly, quarterly or annual Dealer Management reports
  • Ensures appropriate documentation of processes and practices is developed and kept up-to
    -date.
  • Coordinate and monitor progress/completion of any special projects assigned to the dealer management team
  • Collaborate with Actuarial team to provide perspective for actuarial analyses and use information/learnings to inform Dealer Management team activities
  • Assist in all other dealership management activities, including agent support and sales team support ad-hoc requests


Education and Experience:

  • Five to seven years of related work experience plus three years of management experience
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related is a plus

  • Leadership and management skills demonstrating integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to take strategic guidance and turn it into actionable assignments for team members
  • Ability to drive results by identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems within scope of responsibility
  • Ability to comprehend business data and metrics with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively resolve simple to moderately complex situations and issues
  • Expert interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with and expertly influence internal and external business partners.
  • Must be a detail-oriented and self-motivated team player; not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
  • Ability to solve issues with a sense of urgency.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software systems
