Responsibilities include maintaining town's financial records, controlling town expenditures, authorizing payment and payroll warrants, and assisting in budget preparation and revenue forecasting. Position requires an understanding of the uniform municipal accounting system, Government Accounting Standards Board, Massachusetts general laws and Department of Revenue requirements. Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, two plus years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in municipal accounting.
