Corporate Compliance Paralegal

Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for a Corporate Compliance Paralegal to be based in our Chicago office.  This position will support the Corporate Practice Group and will report to the Senior Practice Director for the practice group.

Responsibilities
  • Act as lead point person regarding entity compliance.
  • Upload and manage historical and current data into entity database and ensure that all content is up-to-date and active at all times.
  • Maintain entity database housing corporate information for hundreds of client business entities to be utilized in conjunction with state and federal entity compliance filing obligations.
  • Assist paralegals and oversight attorney with implementation of uniform entity compliance practices and procedures on a firmwide basis.
  • Generate daily or bi-weekly reports from entity database program listing US state annual reports coming due and disseminate to paralegals and case assistants responsible for filing.
  • Prepare and file corporate entity annual reports on US state governmental websites.
  • Assist with various other tasks as needed. 
  • Other duties as needed to fully meet the requirements of the position.

 

Experience & Qualifications
  • Degree or paralegal certificate
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and an ability to prioritize are essential.
  • Must have superior client service and communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Must have the ability to interact and work productively with all levels of lawyers, paraprofessionals and business services team members.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and privacy with confidential matters and documents.
  • Strong computer technical skills and demonstrated ability to learn new software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PDF creation tool(s) is required.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
