We are committed to a proactive approach that emphasizes innovative, value-based, and high-quality care to keep people healthy and provide the best possible outcomes.

The Molecular Pathology Laboratory at Dartmouth-Health (DH), known as the Clinical Genomics and Advanced Technology (CGAT) Laboratory, is a premier academic clinical laboratory dedicated to molecular genomics. Equipped with cutting-edge technologies, CGAT supports both patient diagnostics and translational research. Occupying 10,000 square feet in the Williamson Translational Research Building, the lab enables a broad range of genomic applications, from targeted sequencing to complex multi-omic analyses, ensuring it remains at the forefront of precision medicine. Central to its capabilities are high-throughput next-generation sequencing (NGS) platforms, which provide in-depth genomic insights, detecting critical variants such as single nucleotide variants (SNVs), insertions and deletions (indels), copy number variations (CNVs), and structural rearrangements, making it an invaluable resource for oncology and other clinical applications.

CGAT further offers whole exome sequencing (WES) for comprehensive analysis of protein-coding regions and RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) to characterize transcriptomic alterations, particularly in cancer. Its bioinformatics infrastructure, driven by the AUGMET platform, incorporates machine learning and artificial intelligence for efficient data analysis and interpretation. Additionally, CGAT's Cytogenetics Laboratory integrates Optical Genomic Mapping (OGM), which allows for high-resolution detection of structural genomic variations such as translocations and large deletions. This combination of technologies and expertise ensures that both sequence-based and structural variations are thoroughly explored, supporting both clinical diagnostics and research.
