Capstonecoverage, a reputable insurance company, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Actuarial Analyst. In this role, you will play a crucial role in assessing the financial risk associated with potential events, helping us develop insurance policies that effectively protect our clients while ensuring the long-term sustainability of our business.

As an Actuarial Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing data, performing complex calculations, and generating reports for the actuarial department. You will work closely with our team of actuaries and underwriters to evaluate risk exposures and develop pricing models that align with our company's objectives. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of mathematical principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and interpret data to assess the financial impact of potential events
  • Develop and maintain pricing models that accurately reflect risk exposures
  • Conduct research and perform statistical analysis to support actuarial calculations
  • Collaborate with underwriters to determine appropriate insurance coverage and premiums
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to key stakeholders

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in an actuarial role, preferably in the insurance industry
  • Strong knowledge of actuarial principles and practices
  • Proficient in mathematical and statistical analysis software (e.g., Excel, Python, R)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
