Job Description Salary:
The Media Trust is seeking a skilled Director of Business Development to spearhead our growth in the public sector market.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Research:
Work closely with CEO to develop The Media Trust solutions with state and local governments.
Develop and implement strategies to target state, local, and federal government sectors.
Research and identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential clients within the public sector.

Sales and Networking :
Develop and maintain relationships with decision-makers, stakeholders, and influencers within government agencies.
Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and public sector events.
Deliver compelling pitches and presentations to potential clients and partners.

RFP Management:
Monitor public sector procurement portals for relevant tenders and RFPs.
Lead proposal development, ensuring compliance with government regulations and requirements.

Collaboration:
Work closely with the product, marketing, and technical teams to tailor solutions for the public sector.
Gather feedback from the public sector to guide future product developments and improvements.

Performance Metrics:
Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs for the public sector.
Provide regular sales forecasts and market feedback to the leadership team.

Staying Informed:
~ Keep abreast of the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the digital trust and safety, cyber security, and government sectors.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the cyber security domain.
Proven track record of successfully selling to the public sector.
Familiarity with government procurement processes and regulations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working in or with government agencies.
Knowledge of the specific cyber security challenges faced by the public sector.
