The Heavy Equipment Operator is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of various construction equipment including dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, and haul trucks.

Other benefits include life insurance, disability coverage, employee assistance program, and retirement program. Operates front-end loaders, dozers, backhoes, haul trucks, and other mobile equipment
Loads trucks and maintains proper quantities of material to be loaded
Completes visual and daily safety inspection of equipment to ensure safe operations
Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires
Experience operating heavy equipment, specifically large dozers in a mining/construction environment
Able to operate heavy equipment while following safety procedures
Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance
Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels
Must be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, and other unusual elements, such as loud noise, dirt, dust, fumes, etc.
Able to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekend hours as required
MSHA training certification a plus
Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
