Unit Information:
• Medical Oncology with progressive care beds/pediatric patients.
• High acuity of PCU and ICU. Candidates with PCU/ICU experience preferred. No set schedule, no set weekends, no block schedule.
• Facility determines the complete schedule, with the possibility of working every weekend. Must be flexible.
• 14-week contract required if taking 7 days off.
Orthopedic Oncology
• Thoracic Oncology
Special Procedures/Unit Details:
• Medical Oncology with progressive care beds.
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) protocols.
Special Equipment:
• B450 monitors GE telemetry system.
• 2 years of oncology experience preferred.
• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
Central line care/management.
• Flexible scheduling with self-schedule requests.
• Orientation and Training:
• Monday to Friday dayshift orientation.
• Second week: 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor.
Note: Staffing ratios aim for 1:4 but may vary based on unit needs. Weekend shifts are variable.
