We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) at Methodist Hospital | Metropolitan to ensure we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. About the Unit:
~24 beds Surgical Intensive Care Unit
~ Provides care for non-trauma, high acuity medical and surgical patients including interviews such as CABG, Impella, and SLED
~ 1:1 mentorship with supportive, experienced staff
~ Many opportunities and educational resources including national certification support, tuition reimbursement and clinical ladder advancement
~ Highly supportive staff that provides numerous education training for new nurses and residents.
~ Conducts multidisciplinary rounds with the interdisciplinary team in identifying safe and efficient critical management high acuity acute care.
~ Nurses take pride in pride in the TEAM environment and focus on the WHY of critical care.
You will consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients.
You will collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes
You will provide communication, confidence, and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities
You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serving as a resource to the patient care team
You will have accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing
Manage clinically complex patients with multiple drips, access, and contraptions for critical care management.
Actively involve and engage in family involvement in the care of critically ill and end of life care.
Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program required.
At least 1 year of critical care nursing experience preferred
