The Mental Health Professional is responsible for coordinating psychosocial treatment issues related to patient care. The Coordinator ensures continuity of care through collaboration with the Maricopa County Sherriff’s Office (MCSO), courts, and community providers.
*Conduct mental status exams to present relevant findings on patient risk in an acute environment.
* Maintain familiarity with mental health diagnoses in accordance with the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM).
* *Treatment Planning & Coordination:*
* Coordinate treatment with the Maricopa County Sherriff’s Office (MCSO), courts, and community providers to ensure continuity of care.
* *Conduct short-term, solution-focused therapy using structured treatment plans, goals, and objectives.
* Advocate for patient needs within various systems, including law enforcement and legal environments.
* *Ensure documentation is compliant with organizational policies and applicable laws.
*Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
* Licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent in the state of Arizona.
* Experience in clinical assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.
* Knowledge of psychosocial treatment methodologies and mental health diagnoses (ICD & DSM).
* Experience working with patients in acute environments, such as psychiatric facilities or correctional settings.
* Familiarity with Maricopa County Sherriff’s Office (MCSO) procedures and court systems.
*Knowledge of short-term, solution-focused therapy techniques.
