We are currently seeking a PRN Hospice Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the South Houston area who shares our passion for providing dignified, compassionate end-of-life care. Shift: PRN as needed
Hourly rate for all patient care + same hourly rate for drive time + mileage reimbursement

Must have a valid Licensed Vocational/Practical Nursing license within this state
Must have at least one year of working experience as an LVN/LPN
Hospice experience preferred, but not required
Must have evidence of CPR training
Demonstrated competency in performance of skilled nursing functions
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Hospice field nurse provides skilled nursing and palliative care for assigned Hospice patients. He/she works cooperatively with the other members of the Interdisciplinary Hospice Team
The Hospice nurse provides intermittent visits or shifts of skilled nursing care, performs prescribed medical treatments, including pain management and symptom control, provides nursing observations, provides teaching regarding the expected course of the disease, care techniques and other health measures to the patient, family or other primary caregiver, and participates in the care plan development and implementation
Is an effective communicator in both verbal and written English
