We are seeking an experienced and strategic General Counsel to lead our legal department and serve as a trusted advisor.
As General Counsel, you will oversee all legal matters, providing guidance and support to various departments, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. A strong candidate will also have knowledge and experience with legal issues relevant to the technology consulting and resale and staffing industries, including corporate contracts, temporary and permanent employment, subcontracting agreements, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing corporate law, preferably in a leadership role within a law firm or corporate legal department.
Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and develop a high-performing legal team.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to provide practical and commercially minded legal advice.
Legal Leadership : Provide strategic leadership and direction to the legal department, overseeing all legal functions and initiatives to support the firm's business objectives.

Legal Advisory : Serve as the principal legal advisor to executive management and other stakeholders, offering counsel on a wide range of legal issues, including corporate governance, contracts, intellectual property, employment law, and regulatory compliance.

Contract Management: Review, negotiate, and approve complex contracts and agreements, including client engagement agreements, vendor contracts, sub-contractor agreements, and strategic partnerships, ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives.

Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks and liabilities associated with client engagements, business operations, and corporate transactions, developing proactive strategies to protect the firm's interests.

Compliance : Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting the technology consulting industry, ensuring compliance with data privacy, intellectual property, and other legal requirements.

Employment Law: Provide guidance and support on employment-related matters, including employee contracts, policies, terminations, and compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Intellectual Property : Oversee the management of intellectual property assets, including trademarks, patents, and proprietary information, and implement strategies to protect and enforce intellectual property rights.

Due Diligence: Lead legal due diligence efforts in connection with client engagements, mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, assessing legal risks and liabilities and advising on transactional matters.

Dispute Resolution : Manage legal disputes and litigation matters, working closely with external counsel, negotiating settlements, and representing the firm's interests in legal proceedings.

Corporate Governance: Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements, including board meetings, corporate filings, and adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
