_*Job Summary:*_
_*We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will provide specialized care to expectant mothers during the labor and delivery process. Your role will involve assisting with childbirth, monitoring the mother and baby's vital signs, and providing emotional support to both the mother and her family.*_
_*Responsibilities:*_
_*- Monitor the progress of labor, including contractions, dilation, and fetal heart rate*_
_*- Assist with pain management techniques, such as administering medications or providing comfort measures*_
_*- Support mothers during the pushing stage of labor and assist with the delivery of the baby*_
_*- Conduct newborn assessments immediately after birth*_
_*- Provide postpartum care to both the mother and baby, including breastfeeding support and education on infant care*_
_*- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and positive birthing experience for the mother and baby*_
_*- Educate patients on family planning options and provide information on contraception methods*_
_*- Develop and implement discharge plans for patients leaving the hospital after delivery*_
_*- Perform various medical procedures as needed, such as phlebotomy or ostomy care*_
_*- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation*_
_*Requirements:*_
_*- Valid nursing license and certification as a Registered Nurse (RN)*_
_*- Minimum of [2] years of experience as a Labor and Delivery Nurse*_
_*- Proficiency in ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation*_
_*- Strong knowledge of pain management techniques during labor*_
_*- Familiarity with infant care practices, including breastfeeding support*_
_*- Ability to provide emotional support to patients and their families during childbirth*_
_*- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills*_
_*- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities*_
