At Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Lakeland, a brand new 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital, we are committed to helping patients regain independence after a life-changing illness or injury. Located near beautiful beaches, we are a leading provider of inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, brain injury and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.

Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital uses an interdisciplinary team approach that includes physical, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, case managers, dietitians and more, combined with our advanced technology and expertise, to help you achieve your goals. You will receive at least three hours of therapy five days per week while under the constant care of registered nurses, many of whom specialize in rehabilitation, and frequent independent private practice physician visits.

PM&R INPATIENT JOB DESCRIPTION HIGHLIGHTS

We are looking for a full time PM&R Inpatient interested in building a practice and growing within the community. WHERE YOU WILL PRACTICE - LAKELAND, FL

Conveniently located along I-4 between Tampa and Orlando, Lakeland is home to Florida Southern College, which hosts the largest on-site collection of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture.

History buffs and art lovers will enjoy the Polk Museum of Art in Lakeland, and flight enthusiasts can't miss the annual SUN 'n FUN Fly-in In the heart of Lakeland's downtown,

Lake Mirror Park offers a historic promenade, amphitheater and pedestrian walkways.

Hollis Garden, found around the walkway, is a breathtaking formal garden that showcases more than 10,000 flowers and Florida indigenous plants.

QUALIFICATIONS

MD or DO with state medical license or willingness to obtain state license
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Patient-centered commitment to excellence
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Hospital-based physiatry experience preferred
