This M/S unit is a 24-bed unit with adult, geriatric, adolescent patient population. Medical or GYN overflow patients are cared for on this Medical/Surgical Unit. The variety of cases seen include abdominal, endoscopic, ENT, general, gynecologic, ophthalmic, orthopedic, thoracic, urologic, vascular, and plastic surgeries. Medical patients are admitted with CHF, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, atrial fib and chest pain. Sentara Albemarle Medical Center , located in Elizabeth City, NC , serves northeastern North Carolina with a caring team of approximately 650 employees and 150 medical providers.
