We are seeking a Full time Family Medicine Physician with leadership experience or with the desire to lead for the Site Based Medical Director role at Elizabeth Family Medicine in Charlotte, NC
The Carolinas Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program is?a 12/12/12 residency program in Charlotte, NC that includes 3 tracks for residents - Urban Underserved / Biddle Point, Traditional / Elizabeth, and Community Apprenticeship / Union. Atrium Health? is developing a new medical school affiliated with Wake Forest University School of Medicine with its first class to start in 2024. ?The medical school will emphasize educating underrepresented students in medicine and caring for those in underserved communities.?
AH Elizabeth Family Medicine is a full scope Family Medicine community clinic including OB that is part of a large integrated physician network with access to system level resources across the care continuum. Ideal candidates will be passionate about caring for underserved, medically complex patients within a practice that embodies diversity of race, culture, ethnicity and language. A patient centered focus is the heart of the interprofessional practice; collegiality, professionalism and compassion are values of greatest importance.

Position Highlights:
- Join current team of 16 physicians, 2 APPS, and 18 residents
- 1.0 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) 0.75 Clinical/ 0.25 Administration
- Monday-Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm
- Work closely with Clinic leadership team- Practice Manager, Nursing Supervisor and Clerical Supervisor for excellent patient care provision
- Clinical responsibilities will include patient care at the Elizabeth Family Medicine practice, along with precepting Family Medicine residents and medical students
- Faculty responsibilities will include evaluating residents and students, serving as an advisor for residents, and possibly developing curriculum.
- Opportunity to do typical outpatient procedures like colposcopies, contraceptive devices, I&D, benign lesion removals, joint injections, etc.

- Provide care to patients of all ages, required
- Availability to provide inpatient care, preferred
- Availability to provide maternity care, preferred
