Mercyhealth is seeking Board-Certified Core Faculty Family Medicine Physicians in Janesville, WI.
This is an excellent opportunity to teach residents and provide patient care.
You will advise and guide the residents, reviewing and supervising patient care within the hospital and at Mercyhealth South. Our residents consult with their preceptor about each patient's plan of care.
Mercyhealth is an award-winning, multi-regional, integrated health system comprising 7 hospitals, more than 700 employed physicians, over 85 outpatient clinics, and other service sites that provide care to residents in more than 55 communities throughout northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. We provide over 125 specialty and sub-specialty services, including adult and pediatric critical care, neonatal intensive care, neurosurgery, heart and vascular care, cancer care, plastic and reconstructive surgery, Da Vinci robotic surgery, and much more.
Opportunity:
- Craft your outpatient practice half days and share your expertise precepting residents the other half (including administration).
Backup call only Epic EHR Newborn rounding (in rotation with other faculty members) Residency faculty responsibilities are assigned by the program director as needed. The admitting hospital is Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center – Janesville, WI.
Qualifications:
- MD/DO Board Certified
Residency training from an ACGME-accredited family medicine program. The ability to communicate clearly and work as a member of a team. A passion for teaching residents and medical students in a didactic/clinic setting. Skilled in providing exceptional care for all ages. Previous faculty experience in an accredited residency or fellowship program is desired, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Full-Time Compensation & Benefits:
Mercyhealth offers a highly competitive initial salary guarantee (based on MGMA guidelines) leading to a production-based model after the first year, along with an outstanding benefits package:
