BitGo is looking to hire a dynamic Head of Retail Compliance who will report directly to our Chief Compliance Officer. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Retail Compliance leader who is interested in building in the future of finance.
Work with CCO in assessing, overseeing, and improving the risk management and compliance practices for retail crypto trading and custody
Work with Sales, Product and Operations personnel to identify compliance risks and establish appropriate controls.
Monitor developments in financial regulation and considers implications for compliance;
Participates in the review of new products, services and implementation plans
Design, revise and continually update policies and procedures to meet ongoing regulatory requirements and current business operational needs
Develop presentations to Senior Management, various risk committees and the Board of Directors
Stay abreast of regulatory developments and internal compliance procedures
Develop strategies and plans for implementation of new regulations, comply with evolving requirements, oversee the integration of new processes, and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Strong project management skills, with the ability to work successfully with others at all levels in order to implement compliance and risk management solutions from a practical perspective; Strong interpersonal skills, maturity, and good judgment, with the capability of communicating with a diverse range of individuals in the corporate structure
Understanding of the current and evolving landscape of regulatory compliance and risk management for global financial technology and crypto companies
Willingness to travel when necessary and work closely with individuals in regional offices;
Subject matter expert with 7 plus years as a retail compliance officer in brokerage, banking or trust services
Extensive experience with retail AML, KYC and surveillance
Basic Knowledge of blockchain analytics a plus.
