NOC Director

Parkway Health and Rehabilitation Center - Com ejoin an engaging, fantastic, and fun Activities Team at Bear Mountain Healthcare LLC, Parkway Health & Rehab Center, is actively looking to hire a motivated and experienced Activities Director for our Long Term Care Facility in West Roxbury MA. We pride ourselves in the level of professionalism our team exhibits every day, as we strive to provide the best possible care for our residents and team members. The Activities Director primary purpose is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Activity Department to assure that an ongoing program of activities is designed to meet the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
Minimum 2 years experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years, one of which was full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting; Center leadership position with a reporting relationship directly to the Nursing Home Administrator.
Plan individual and group programs in accordance with patient/residents' needs, preferences, interests, abilities, and consistent with treatment goals and interventions.
Prepare monthly calendars of activities, while meeting the needs of the residents
Train and provide supervision to recreation staff and volunteers
Keep abreast of current federal and state regulations, current economic conditions, as well as professional standards of practice, and make recommendations on changes in policies and procedures to the Administrator
Develop positive relationships with patient/resident's family and the community.
Use community resources to create or enhance recreation programs
