This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week. Chemotherapy and oncology experience highly preferred.
The Registered Nurse (RN) assists the doctor, as needed, to ensure the health and safety of our patients during all aspects of their care at GenesisCare.
Responsible for acquiring results and notifying said results on all interim reports to the Physician and then to chart.
* Copy of notes (scut) to Front Desk Receptionist and Physician in the applicable office
* Drawing of blood for various lab tests that are sent out in applicable office. Attend annual OSHA/Biomedical update meetings and application in the clinical setting of the updates. Practice of safety precautions and wearing of personal protective equipment when needed.
* Documentation of medications that the patients are currently taking, and document any new medications prescribed by our physicians while under our care. Responsible for assisting physician in operating room during surgical procedures.
* Maintain open communication with front desk, Physician, and nursing staff as it applies to patient add-ons, patients on treatment breaks, and changes on treatment plan
* Experience in radiation oncology highly preferred, though not required
* Must properly control the release of proprietary and confidential information
