Hope Learning Academy in Springfield, IL is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to lead a classroom.
We are offering a sign-on commitment bonus for Special Education Teachers.
* 3 Year Commitment receives a $5,000 sign-on bonus
* 5 Year Commitment receives a $10,000 sign-on bonus
Hope is a clinical, educational, and therapeutic provider for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. We exist to help children and their families reach their maximum potential by providing state-of-the-art applied behavioral analysis therapies and access to recreation, vocational training, and individualized education programming. Our mission is to provide the best services in the most inclusive environments to encourage persons to fulfill their individual potential through evidence-based treatment, advocacy, and community education. Since 1957, the Hope Learning Academy has led the development of new methods to educate, treat, and care for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Collect and analyze IEP goal data and evaluate any changes to IEP goals needed.
* Prepare assessments and present levels of performance for IEP meetings and participate in development of appropriate IEP goals for students.
* Train, supervise, and evaluate classroom lead teacher aide and education specialists.
* Model appropriate behavior to students and staff (manner of speech, appropriate dress, etc.); Valid Illinois teaching license.
* Valid LBS 1 certification (or meet all requirements for short term emergency approval for LBS 1 certification).
* Ability to meet all licensing standards of the Department of Human Services and the Department of Child and Family Services.
3+ years experience as a Special Education Classroom Teacher.
