About the Team

The Privacy & Integrity Product team is responsible for building consumer-facing privacy controls & settings as well as internal systems and processes to ensure compliance with key privacy regulations. We partner closely with other Product, Engineering and Legal teams to deliver a cohesive privacy & integrity experience that delights and puts consumers in control of their privacy.

About the Role

As a Senior Product Manager, User Trust & Integrityyou will work on some of the most interesting privacy & integrity challenges in the industry and set the direction for how users interact with privacy & integrity aspects of our platform. You will be responsible for driving vision and owning consumer-facing privacy controls & settings within Roku OS and Roku-owned experiences as well as Roku's Privacy Portal, helping to empower and educate consumers on Roku's privacy commitments. For this role, we are looking for an experienced and opinionated Senior Product Manager with strong user empathy and design/UX skills to match. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneur-at-heart with experience or strong interest in privacy & integrity topics who can thrive in a nascent and ambiguous environment.In this role, you will partner closely with team members across Engineering, UX, Legal, Marketing and other Product teams within the organization.

This position will be located at our office in Boston, MA and will report to the Director of Product, Privacy & Integrity.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Build consumer-facing products that millions of people use every week
  • Represent privacy & integrity needs of Roku users towards key internal stakeholders
  • Own roadmap and strategy for how Roku surfaces privacy/integrity concepts & ad controls to our users, aligning user and business needs with regulatory requirements
  • Own and drive evolution of the Roku Privacy Portal
  • Help drive overall consumer privacy vision for Roku
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design & UX as well as coordinate with other product managers across Roku
  • Work closely with internal Legal & Trust Engineering teams to understand & implement legal and security requirements and translate guidance to Product & Engineering teams
  • Advise other product managers on privacy concepts and privacy-by-design principles
  • Work with Marketing and PR teams on external messaging related to privacy features & product launches
We're Excited If You Have
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a product manager for a software and/or hardware consumer product
  • Understanding of common privacy industry standards/regulations and/or strong interest in consumer privacy
  • Experience building consumer-facing privacy controls in web/mobile/OTT a big plus
  • Proven track record working with Engineering, Design and UX teams to build cutting edge consumer products
  • Strong user empathy & ability to extrapolate today’s user sentiments into the future
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work through complex ambiguous problems independently
  • Balance data-driven decision making with intuitive judgement
  • Ability to convince cross-functional stakeholders of your vision and execute against it
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in CS/Engineering, related technical/analytical or design discipline
