Haywood Regional Medical Center is licensed for 154 beds and offers a comprehensive array of services and 11 multi-specialty physician clinics. We also offer a 54,000 square foot Health and Fitness Center including personal training, indoor pool, massage therapy, and nursery.

· Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
Prepares equipment and supplies. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. For Stress Lab Tech:
NMTCB or Registered ARRT Nuclear Medicine - RT(N)
Performs exercise, pharmaceutical, and echo stress tests.
Recognizes chest pain, arrhythmias with stress testing. Responds/obtains appropriate and immediate assistance as needed.
Monitors, receives, and stocks stress lab supplies.
Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes equipment as needed.
Collects and/or reviews pertinent medical, historical, and medication information in order to perform the appropriate study prescribed by the physician.
Assists with activities to improve department processes, facilitate testing, and maintain quality to achieve optimal patient results.
Graduate of an approved course in Radiologic Technology.
Minimum Work Experience
Hospital training during two years of approved Radiologic Technologist program.
Experience in other x-ray departments, clinics or medical offices highly desirable.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Desirable to belong to national, state, and/or local societies.
