Job Shift: Shift 3

Shift Details: PCU - Stepdown unit, 24 and 36 hours, primarily night shift available. Every other weekend and rotating holidays. Newly licensed RN/GN applications accepted for Nurse Residency.


Sign-on bonus eligible for nurses with more than one year PCU / ICU RN experience.

E3 is a combined telemetry and Progressive Care Unit containing 25 beds and a team of nursing and healthcare professionals with excellent critical thinking skills and specialized training to provide the highest level of care. Our team has specialty training to care for complex stroke, vascular, neurological and specialty surgery populations as well as intermediate care patients.   Demonstrates clinical competence through utilization of the nursing process and development of a synergistic nurse-patient relationship. Assesses and identifies patient problems/needs, establishes a plan of care, implements and evaluates care provided to patients.
Graduate of a school of Nursing. One (1) year RN experience and/or successful completion of the Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program. Must be able to pass the BKAT with a score of 80% or complete a critical care course within one (1) year of hire.
Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) preferred
Basic knowledge of Nursing principles and practices. Ability to handle multiple priorities, be flexible and a team player. Basic computer knowledge in order to enter/retrieve data.
