Are you a data-driven, creative e-commerce leader with a strong track record in DTC & CPG, who wants to build the future of functional beverage? Clevr is looking for an entrepreneurial, growth-minded individual ready to own and scale their digital channels, including DTC and Amazon, and join the leadership team as Head of E-commerce.

The Brand

Clevr is a woman-led, Series A wellness brand reimagining coffee & tea to address our most common modern problems. Our barista-inspired functional beverages address energy, stress, and sleep, and are rooted in indulgent flavor and science-led function.

In the past few years, Clevr has gone from grassroots startup, to high growth venture-backed brand, thanks to organic momentum, an evangelistic customer base, and support from some of the worlds most respected female luminaries. We are primarily DTC, with a heavy focus on subscription, a scaling Amazon channel, and fast expansion into retail nationally.

We are a mission driven brand, with a focus on regenerative, sustainable sourcing, and commitment to food systems equity via our food justice grant program.

Role and Responsibilities

The Head of Digital willlead our eComm sales channels. You will be a key member of the leadership team, reporting to the CEO.Using your robust DTC experience, you will own our full customer funnel (.com and Amazon), through the entire customer acquisition, retention and subscription journey. You will also directly oversee performance marketing channels, including paid marketing (paid social, paid search, affiliate, etc.), CRM, and SEO. You will also act as our P+L owner for the DTC and Amazon business, and lead decision-making as well as execution for site experience, product merchandising, and all other aspects of the customer journeys for those businesses. You will be a leader for our existing team that supports those businesses, and continue to build a world-class team as we scale.

E-Commerce Leadership:

  • Manage the P+L and drive growth for Clevrs e-commerce channels (.com, subscription, Amazon) end-to-end, including overall strategy, growth & profitability goals, and team growth & management.
  • Manage DTC and Amazon site experience, including merchandising, content, and optimizing product listings, including content, imagery, pricing, and descriptions
  • Own the promotional calendar, supporting key moments via performance channels
  • Leverage analytics to continue improvement of key metrics across the customer journey, including conversion, AOV and repeat visits
  • Lead strategy on ensuring pricing and merchandising cohesion between Amazon, Clevr.com, and additional non-owned e-commercesales channels

Growth Marketing

  • Lead strategy, team and budget on all performance marketingfunctions to scale cross-channel media spend in an ROI-positive way, including: paid social, affiliate, SEO/SEM, Influencer, Podcast, OOH, owning KPIs per channel.
  • Rapidly test and innovate new channels, new creatives, and new initiatives with a data-driven mindset.
  • Own creative ideation and testing roadmap for paid media with support from Brand/Creative team

Success will be measured by growth and profitability of customer acquisition, ability to scale ad spend to meet revenue goals

Retention

  • Develop an effective omnichannel nurture & retentionstrategy, with special focus on our owned CRM, referral, subscription and CX department.
  • Own insights about our consumer this includes deep expertise about their at-home usage, path to purchase, trial and loyalty, and ultimately advocacy of the brand.

Success will be measured by depth of customer engagement, growth of subscription program, and repurchase rate.

Go-to-market Strategy:

  • Partner with the Brand Marketing and Executive Team to build a go-to-market strategy for new products and channels

Brand Vision

  • Understanding the mission and vision of the brand, create impactful digital marketing, merchandising, and acquisition strategies, working alongside the Chief Brand Officer and Head of Brand Marketing
  • Participate in creative ideation for brand-wide campaigns, product launches, and seasonal pushes, leveraging a tactical but also brand-aligned perspective.

Leadership:

  • Build a world-class growth team across Paid, Retention, CRM, and E-Comm.Mentor and lead existing team of three direct reports across CRM, Acquisition and Retention.
  • Foster a culture of ROI, data-driven decision-making, and organizational excellence.
  • Youre a deeply supportive, collaborative leader who communicates compassionately,providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to drive individual and team success.

Who You Are

  • Passionate about wellness and functional beverage
  • An experienced DTC leader who has 8+ years experience in DTC & CPG, and has played a key role in scaling a brand beyond 8 figures.
  • Direct, deep experience working on the many growth-levers of a DTC business, including CRM, Retention, CRO, SEO, and Paid Acquisition
  • Experience with subscription-focused growth.
  • Strong content background, with a track record of developing successful marketing campaigns
  • Analytically minded, and comfortable leveraging data to make decisions, and comfortable using quantitative capabilities (i.e. understands P&L, costing and pricing structures, impact/effort tradeoffs)
  • Able to think beyond paid media to drive growth.
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Able to balance the creative art and analytical science of brand-building
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on developing high-performing teams.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture that emphasizes autonomy, passion for the brand and an immense drive to grow the Company and achieve results
