It is an exciting time to be a nurse at HCA Healthcare Help to advance the practice of nursing and improve positive outcomes for your patients as a (an) Clinical Nurse Coordinator Float Pool. Under the general supervision of the unit’s director or designee the CNC assumes responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions in the unit on his/her designated shifts. In collaboration with other members of the management team, this individual is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in unit.
The CNC:
Assumes responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions during the designated shift.
Functions as a resource person for staff member and assists in necessary education of individual members of the nursing staff.
Assumes responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided when s/he is on duty
Makes decisions regarding activities with these areas based on Administrative Operational Standards, Nursing Administrative Standards, Human Resource Standards, and Standards of Care for the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
This position supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza of optimizing quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The Super Pool RN is responsible for the delivery of nursing care to the patient requiring telemetry, and/or medical surgical care. The Super Pool RN serves as primary nurse and/or care coordinator, leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. The Super Pool RN oversees and directs the care of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients. Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Education : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing RN License in the State of Colorado. BLS – Healthcare provider from AHA or America Red Cross. Experience : Two (2) years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of his/her unit preferred. Tier I, II, II: Two years of experience in acute care preferred. Tier IV and V: Three years of experience in critical care.
Committed to the goals of the unit, patient safety initiatives and positive patient experience. Involves general guidance and direction by the Patient Care Director, Nurse Manager and Unit Charge Nurse. Employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the standards of nursing practice. Located in Aurora, Colorado, The Medical Center of Aurora offers over 346 beds. It has five medical campuses, including the Main South Campus, the North Campus Behavioral Health and Wellness Center, Centennial Medical Plaza, Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital, and Spalding Rehabilitation at P/SL. The Main Campus is a Level II Trauma Center with Primary Stroke Certification and Chest Pain Center accreditation, serving the eastern metro area and I-70 corridor. The South Campus has a Level III NICU.
