Student Loan Repayment: This position may be eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.
Gain hands-on experience in healthcare working alongside other healthcare professionals who are passionate about creating a positive impact.
The Surgical Technician is accountable for assisting the surgical team to provide patient care for assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship. Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Ethical and Religious Directives.
Graduate from a surgical technology program accredited through ARC/STSA in collaboration with the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
Varied 8-hour day shifts, 80 hours every 2 weeks
Weekend: on-call every 4th weekend and one day a week
Holiday: on-call every 4th holiday

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
