Solventum is seeking Maintenance Mechanic candidates to join our team in Forest City, IA
Shift Details: 1st Shift (Monday – Friday; At Solventum, we enable better, smarter, safer healthcare to improve lives. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventive maintenance of fork truck, material handling and custodial equipment, both powered and non-powered.
Performing general maintenance of facility building and property.
Following all safety policies and housekeeping guidelines to ensure a neat, clean, efficient and safe work environment (may include possible hazardous material spill cleanup).
Working closely with engineering groups and outside vendors to assist with fork truck and material handling equipment design and debugging.
Attending meetings and training as required both internal and external of the plant site.
Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start)
Two (2) years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment
Ability to operate powered lift equipment
Ability to work overtime or holidays as needed

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Two (2) year technical degree in a maintenance field
Possess knowledge of hand and power tools, fabrication principles, basic welding processes, mechanical symbols and nomenclature, mechanical processes and design standards.
Possess computer skills to manage multiple equipment and projects
Travel: No Travel
Relocation Assistance: Not Authorized
