Description
Operational hours:
Mon-Sat. 0730-2000 or beyond with rotated calls at night and on Saturday and Sundays
  • We dialyze our patients using both Fresenius T and Fresenius K machines.
  • 12 total stations; 8 stations in main hospital building and 4 stations in Tower. Main Building and Tower are connected by a bridge.
  • Primary Telemetry: nurses are offered a course or test out with experience.
  • Nurses will be certified to care for Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) patients.
  • Dialyze patients from every unit in hospital as well performing dialysis in the ICUs
  • Nurse patient ratio; 1:2 in dialysis unit and 1:1 in ICUs
  • Shared Peritoneal dialysis (PD) responsibility with the floors
  • APPs on site Mon-Friday
  • Close working relationships with nephrologist
  • Very active quality initiative committee champions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
  • Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
  • BLS certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
  • Exceptions: Individuals currently employed as a LPN within the EHC system at the time of completion of an accredited RN program and becoming licensed as a RN will be considered eligible to move to the Nurse Clinician title while matriculating through the Resident program.
