Job Details

A hospital in Idaho is in need of an Respiratory Therapist to work a 13-week travel assignment. For additional information and to be submitted for consideration please contact Medical Solutions.

Job Requirements

Must have at least 2-3 years experience if RRT, 3-5 years experience if CRT, okay with first time travelers. If they are going to NICU need to know how to do NAVA (naturally adjusted ventilatory assist) on Cervo vents. Will manage all RT equipment, treatments, transport, and ABGs. Travelers will only assist with intubation. Lead on each shift- they cover ED, do daily staffing, and act as resource.

Schedule Information

Shifts & Scheduling: 7-730 Scheduler will make schedule, travelers will be filled in where there is a need. Overtime may be available. Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend Holiday Requirements: Required to work if here during the holiday.

Unit Specific Information

- Unit: Respiratory Therapy Boise Hospital Flr 1- # treatments per day: 36-42 per 12 hour shift or 12-14 every 4 hours - Experience or 'Must have' skills - Job Duties: Will not do EKGs. - Hospitalist or Intensivist in-house 24/7- Is there a Respiratory Manager/Supervisor/Lead Therapist on each shift - Would the traveler ever be the only RT in-house: No - RT Equipment: Vents- Draeger for adults and Servo U for Peds. V60 BiPAPs, Vapotherm high flow, Optiflow for NICU and PICU, Philips Cough Assist, ResMed home CPAP, HillRom Vest machines for percussion, Hill-Rom Metaneb. - How many shifts of unit/department-specific orientation

Additional Details

- Types of patients: Adults- all floors, Peds, NICU. - What areas do they cover: Inpatient. RTs for Pediatric floors will also cover adults. RTs for Adult floors will not cover Peds **This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles. To ensure adherence to this rule, we will require the candidates' perm address in the submittal to confirm they are outside of that specified radius before proceeding with the profile review.**
