City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) is in search of a dynamic IT executive to assume the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO). This presents an outstanding opportunity to make a substantial impact by leading information technology in support of CCC's vision to become the city's most accessible higher education engine of socioeconomic mobility and racial equity, empowering all Chicagoans to contribute to the development of a stronger and more just city. CCC, the largest community college system in Illinois, comprises seven colleges and five satellite sites, providing over 60,000 students with access to a quality, affordable education annually.

The CIO, reporting to the Provost, will form an essential part of the leadership team. The responsibilities for this position will include providing innovative vision, strategy, and leadership in establishing technology policy and planning for managing technology systems in instructional, institutional research, and administrative functions. The CIO will demonstrate the leadership, project management, and change management expertise necessary to develop and oversee a cohesive IT strategy and delivery model aligned with CCC's mission.

The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced executive with a proven track record of successfully leading IT, preferably in a similarly large and complex organization. The CIO will exhibit exceptional leadership qualities, combining collaboration with decisiveness. They will possess strong team-building skills and political acumen. Effective communication and relationship-building capabilities at all levels of the organization are vital. A visionary mindset is crucial, enabling the transformation of the IT organization in collaboration with the business to achieve the institution's mission and goals.

Residency in the city of Chicago is a requirement for the CIO role, with all full-time employees expected to establish residency within six months of their date of hire.
