Are you an energetic, passionate, and caring licensed Psychiatrist looking for a great opportunity to utilize your experience and training? The Department of Human Services is seeking a Staff Psychiatrist to be responsible for all aspects of psychiatric care and treatment of assigned patients at Warren State Hospital. As a Staff Psychiatrist, you will perform formal psychiatric assessments and review all psychiatric diagnoses, perform psychiatric reviews of patients and documents, review medication and make adjustments and/or changes to ensure proper psychopharmacological treatment is applied to each individual patient, and perform competency evaluations. In this role, you will lead the treatment team and oversee the planning and implementation of the individual treatment plan for each patient and ensure appropriate documentation. You will also provide leadership with interdisciplinary staff in assuring that active treatment programs are being conducted daily, review and evaluate discharge planning, and document patient's progress toward community placement.


Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Possible evening, weekend, and holiday on-call

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Minimum Experience and Training Requirement:
~ Completion of a residency or training program in psychiatry which meets the certification requirements of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.

You must p ossess a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Board of Medical Education and Licensure, or the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
