Responsibilities

Ascension Wisconsin is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine physician for our Residency program

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Wisconsin to provide medical services to patients.

Position Highlights:

• Core Faculty: .8 FTE/.2 FTE

  Family Medicine Faculty Physicians majority of time will be providing teaching, supervision, and mentorship to residents and medical students. The physician will report to the Program Director.

  Essential Functions:

  -Educational lectures for the residents and students

  -Research participation

  -Faculty advisor for a group of residents

  -Participation in the timely evaluation of the residents and students

  -Participation in residency program committees, such as the Program Evaluation Committee (PEC), Clinical Competency Committee (CCC), or others.

  -Faculty development activities

  -Residency recruitment

  -Maintain hospital privileges in order to provide hospital coverage

  -Develop and maintain an independent clinical practice, without the presence of residents, in accordance with ACGME requirements.

  Qualifications:

  -Professional clinical experience in Family Medicine

  -Wisconsin Physician License

  -DEA Certificate

  -Board Certified in Family Medicine

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Required Credential(s):
Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
Preferred Credential(s):
Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA). Verified by local Credentialing Office.

Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
