From routine eye exams and optical retail, to medical optometry, ophthalmology, and surgical procedures, our patients experience end-to-end personalized care and service.
The Ophthalmic Medical Technician is responsible for collecting and recording ocular and systemic patient histories, visual acuities, BP, IOP, Auto refractions, Manifest Refractions, performing external examinations, and dry-eye testing, as well as disease specific extra testing
Collecting and recording patient medical history
* Performing visual acuity testing, auto and Manifest Refractions (measurements for the glasses prescription), tonometry (measuring eye pressure) (Goldmann required)
* Measuring pupil size and reactivity using PERRLA
* Testing elements of movement (eye muscle function)
* Performing confrontational visual field testing, pachymetry (Corneal thickness measurement)
* Performing dry eye testing including Zone Quick and TBUT, Interferometry, brightness acuity testing
* Participating in light cleaning of the facility
* Performing corneal topography, retinal nerve fiber layer measurements, retinal thickness and topography, fluorescein angiography, B-scan ultrasonography
* Preparing for and assisting with in-office procedures including consenting patients
* Full body rotation (i.e., Minimal of one year in Ophthalmology
