Marathon Petroleum Company is offering a maintenance internship opportunity within its Marine Repair Facility (MRF) in Catlettsburg, KY. The Maintenance Intern will play a role in enabling our business to make informed decisions, adapt to change, and continuously improve. They will receive meaningful hands-on experience by rotating through different areas in the MRF, such as Barge Cleaning, Electric Shop, Motor Shop, and Weld Shop.

Barge Cleaners:

Perform activities in the Boiler Area, Tank Farm, Water Treatment Plant, and Vapor Control Unit such as:
Run hotwash pumps to supply hot water washing barges.
Run daily analysis of samples from the Waste Water Treatment Plant and boilers.
Participate in safety and training activities.

Boat and Barge PM's.
Equipment installation (pull wire, install new equipment, and housekeeping).
Acquire parts and materials required for the jobs.

Shop welding.
Cutting/fitting.
Running for parts.

Travel up to 25% may be required.
