We are seeking a compassionate and skilled MSW to join our client’s team in providing support and assistance to individuals residing in their residential/supportive housing programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical and case management skills, as well as a deep understanding of social work principles and practices. This role involves working closely with residents to address their needs, facilitate access to resources, and promote overall well-being and independence.
*Assessment and Case Management*: Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' strengths, needs, and goals. Develop individualized service plans in collaboration with residents, addressing areas such as housing stability, mental health, substance abuse, employment, and social connections. Provide ongoing case management and support to ensure residents' needs are met and goals are achieved.
* *Crisis Intervention and Counseling*: Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to residents experiencing mental health crises, substance abuse issues, interpersonal conflicts, or other challenges. Offer individual and group counseling sessions to address residents' emotional and behavioral concerns, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
* *Advocacy and Resource Coordination*: Advocate on behalf of residents to ensure they have access to essential services and resources, including healthcare, mental health treatment, substance abuse treatment, vocational training, and legal assistance. Collaborate with external agencies, community organizations, and service providers to coordinate referrals and support residents in navigating the social service system.
* *Psychoeducation and Skill Building*: Facilitate psychoeducational groups and workshops on topics such as stress management, communication skills, conflict resolution, budgeting, and self-care. Empower residents to develop life skills and coping strategies that promote resilience and self-sufficiency.
* *Documentation and Reporting:* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all client interactions, assessments, service plans, progress notes, and referrals in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements. Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience working in social services, preferably in a residential or supportive housing setting.
* Knowledge of mental health, substance abuse, trauma-informed care, and other relevant clinical issues.
* Commitment to social justice, advocacy, and the empowerment of marginalized individuals and communities.
