Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital Main OR has 15 rooms and 1 hybrid room focusing on endo/vascular. Our Main Operating Room specialty areas include General Surgery, ENT, Robotics, Ophthalmology (Corneal; Retina Cell transplants), Complex GYN, Complex Ortho/Spine, Thoracic, and Vascular.
This position is 7am - 5:30pm full time with required on-call.
We are seeking a capable Surgical Technologist / Operating Room who has acquired broad experience in caring for patients, and has developed a sound understanding about the care of a particular patient population.
Determine the equipment, materials, and resources needed to meet the patient procedure plan.
Assists surgeons and nurses with patients, equipment preparation, aseptic technique, and surgical procedures in the operating room. Prepares the operating room for surgery by assembling routine supplies, materials, instruments, and equipment; Identifies verbally or in writing unusual incidents during patient care procedures and identifies complex procedure problems related to patient reaction, symptoms, or changes in needs based on patient reactions.
Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent job training.
