As a part of WellSpan Philhaven, the Child Adolescent Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit is situated on the main Mt Gretna, PA campus which is a tranquil setting with walking trails nestled within a picturesque forest and adjacent to an operating farm. Clients often comment that this campus provides an atmosphere of peace and serenity for them.
Child Adolescent Inpatient Behavioral Health Service s consists of:
42 bed Inpatient Unit, providing psychiatric care for ages 4 through 18 including diagnostic assessment, stabilization, and individualized treatment programs
Interdisciplinary team approach to care, providing a therapeutic milieu to provide a safe treatment space for our patients
Therapeutic groups and family treatment with a multi-disciplinary group of staff
General Summary
Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital. Acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment. Required
