The Certified Technician provides support to the pharmacist by reviewing, compounding and dispensing medications. All work is carried out under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
Shift differential:
Weekday Evening 10%
Weekday Night 10%
Sat/Sun Evening 15%
Sat/Sun Night 15%
This position qualifies for our Pharmacy Technician Incentive Program, which includes $5000 in commitment incentives spread over a two-year period. Learn more about the Pharmacy Technician Incentive Program here:
Perform sanitation, maintenance and tracking of infusion equipment and the IV room
Cleaning and sterilizing equipment, instruments, and cleanroom according to procedures
Pass annual proficiency and certification checks: gowning, aseptic technique, labeling, facilities sanitation, equipment cleaning
Assists in the setup of the compounding room, equipment, and supplies for the preparation of compounded sterile solutions, using an aseptic technique.
Completion of an academic pharmacy technician training program preferred.
Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy unless enrolled in a PharmD program.
·Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
