The Department of Surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an exceptional full-time early- to -mid-career faculty with expertise in hepatopancreaticobiliary surgery to join our elite team of surgeons in the Division of Surgical Oncology. Candidates with strong HPB robotic skills and minimally invasive surgery are preferred. Successful candidates will be fellowship-trained in oncological surgery and have expertise in hepatopancreaticobiliary surgery. Candidates should be committed to patient care, resident, and medical student education and scholarly activity that advance clinical medicine. The individual will participate in the expansion of programmatic initiatives and research studies in collaboration with other faculty, residents, and medical students. A strong research program infrastructure exists, and there are multiple opportunities for engagement in clinical and translational research. The OSUCCC-James strives to create a cancer-free world by integrating scientific research with excellence in education and patient-centered care — a strategy that leads to better methods of prevention, detection, and treatment. Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) - faculty positions within the university that are not tenure track and not eligible for tenure, on a fixed term contract. These faculty normally have earned a doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field or equivalent experience.
Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty member’s tenure initiation unit (TIU) and, as appropriate, regional campus; These faculty will have earned a doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study or possession of equivalent experience.
Successful completion of an accredited General Surgery Residency
Completion of a Surgical Oncology Fellowship
Board certified/ eligible in Surgery
Demonstrated experience in basic or clinical research
