Reason for Need: We are recruiting due to a growing need in the community. We have had Urology via outreach specialist. We are in need of a full-time employed physician. Astera Health is an Independent CAH with multiple specialties. We are a not-for-profit health care corporation that has been serving our communities for almost 100 years. We are a Level IV trauma center. This position is located at Astera Health in Wadena, MN. We serve Wadena and the surrounding communities. We opened a new hospital in March 2023, that includes 3 surgery suites/1 Endo Room with space available for a 4 th surgery suite and 2 nd Endo Room.
Hospital and Clinic setting. EMR is Epic. Planning a full, service Cancer Center to be opened in 2025.
Orthopedic surgeon and his team of APPs, general surgeon, OB/GYN, Outreach Urologists, a team of Family Practice Providers and APPs.
Currently we have been utilizing 3 Urologists (via visiting outreach specialist/8-10 days per month).
Support staff: 1 surgical PA, with extensive Urological experience, 4 full-time CRNAs, a dedicated nurse in clinic, 8 circulating RNs, 6 Certified Surgical Technicians.
