Washington State Penitentiary (WSP)is a 2000 bed facility for high and medium custody men. Four separate facilities exist within the institution, each of which houses a different custody level of offender. WSP is currently engaged in major facility construction; replacing old facilities with newer high custody housing units. WSP has just opened a new stand-alone health care building with inpatient and outpatient medical and mental health care and a six chair dental operatory.
Application assessment will be ongoing and the hiring authority reserves the right to offer the position at any time during the recruitment process. Serves as psychological consultant to Clinical Director, Superintendent and medical staff on problems involving psychological services.
Serves as consultant to diagnostic, intake, treatment, and disposition staff.
Does psychodiagnostic testing of patients and employees.
Participates in training and education of institution staff in psychological field.
Doctoral Degree in Psychology from an accredited school or department of Psychology whose accreditation is recognized by the U.And possession of a current license to practice psychology in the state of Washington.
Each employee must adhere to legislation and/or law changes that may affect current licensure and/or registration requirements. 
Three years of Postdoctoral Psychology experience, including one year of experience in forensic psychology.
