This unit provides specialized care for patients with various diagnoses including angina, sub-acute MI, and CHF. Most of these patients have been moved from critical care to the PCU following a surgical procedure Educational resources, leadership assistance, and support from learning specialists are available within DPH PCU to ensure nurses are set up for success Responsibilities Essential Functions Assesses patient's needs and develops/revises an individualized plan of care based on patient needs and responses. Evaluates the patient's progress toward attaining expected outcomes. Respects diversity by building respectful relationships with all team members and customers. Functions as a patient and family advocate. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned.
