Job Overview

Thera-Peds is a small family owned outpatient OT, PT and Speech therapy facility in Shelby Township that has been open for over 10 years. We are looking to hire an additional full time OT in our Shelby Township location. Training is provided.

Thera-Peds is seeking an upbeat and out going Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team immediately. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to children. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with speech and physical therapists as well as healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care . This is a Monday through Thursday -10 hour per day work week. Paid write time daily and paid for cancellations are part of this position. Thera-Peds staff treat all diagnosis and pediatrics through age 18.

Duties

- Conduct thorough evaluations, daily notes, progress notes and discharges
- Develop and implement personalized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Collaborate with speech therapists to enhance communication skills and overall functional abilities and physical therapists to enhance movement.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers and provide home exercise programs
- Work closely with other professionals, including pediatricians, school staff, and others to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes on our EMR system, Fusion.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current Michigan license as an Occupational Therapist .
- Experience working in an outpatient facility preferred.
- 1 year experience working with pediatrics (Level II accepted).
- Feeding therapy experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Must be self-sufficient, organized and able to collaborate with co-workers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
