Nurse Practitoner

Heartland Cardiology in Wichita, KS has an amazing opportunity for a motivated Nurse Practitioner, to work with an Interventional Cardiologist in a high-volume private practice. The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with the Interventionalist in order to support his practice

Candidates must have:

• Master’s degree in nursing; graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active KS license or willing to apply.
• Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Cardiology experience as a nurse is preferred but not required

Skills:

• General health care and cardiovascular patient assessment and exam skills
• Ability to function in a team environment
• Demonstrate knowledge and competence in basic cardiovascular technology, i.e. EKG, patient assessment and management of care, labs/hospital test results

Experience:

• Cardiology NP Outpatient: (Preferred but not required)
• Cardiovascular patient assessment: (Preferred but not required)
• New Graduates are encouraged to apply

Weekly schedule:

• Monday – Friday clinic and hospital rounding every 5-7 weeks.
