As the volume of data grows, ground stations need to evolve and adapt. In this role you will work onsite with a team of skilled Software Engineers developing Satellite Ground Stations Software in Java and C++.

  • What You Will Do*
  • Develop and maintain Java based backend applications for satellite ground systems in both Windows and Linux in the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Perform as a Team Lead.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement robust server-side solutions.
  • Modify and improve existing codebases for enhanced performance and scalability.
  • Conduct software design and code reviews, integrating best practices and innovations.
  • Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
  • Participate in integration and project milestone completion under guidance from supervisors.

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.
  • Experience in Satellite Constellation Management Systems.
  • Experience as a software technical lead.
  • Experience working as a software engineer on Ground Station Control software.
  • Experience programming in Java.
  • Clearance requirements: This position requires an active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
