We are looking for a compassionate, experienced psychiatrist to join our clinic. To be successful as a psychiatrist at MBI Health Services, you should have a strong passion for helping patients overcome and manage their mental health and substance addiction in underserved communities. Assess and screen patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations, including interviews, medical histories, observations, and psychological testing
- Analyze data and results of assessments to diagnose patients & assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients
- Conduct therapy sessions and group activities to support patients' mental health and well-being as well as provide patients with emotional support and strategies to help manage their disorder.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, behaviors, and responses to treatment
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and complete all necessary clincial documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Previous experience working in a mental health and SUD setting is REQUIRED
- Knowledge of psychotherapy techniques and mental health and SUD counseling principles
- Familiarity with medical documentation and record keeping procedures
- Ability to provide compassionate care to individuals with mental health disorders and Substance Addictions
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an approved psychiatric residency
- Current and valid Board of Psychiatry certification and state license.
- Licensed to practice medicine in state of California
