We are seeking a part-time, day shift experienced nurse with an interest in cardio-pulmonary medicine to join our team on the Acute Pulmonary Unit at Inova Fairfax Hospital’s Heart and Vascular Institute. Our patient population consists of complex pulmonary diagnoses and patients needing pulmonary interventions such as Endobronchial valves, VATS procedures, Bronchoscopy’s as well as CHF, Dysrhythmia, and anti-rhythmic loading.

Shift: 2 X 12hr Day Shifts

This Experienced RN position is eligible for a competitive Sign On and Relocation Bonus for qualified candidates.
Acute respiratory failure
- EBV Valves
- Inpatient Hospice patients
Key aspects of our unit that allows us to perform high quality care:
- Entirely private patient care rooms
- Quarterly unit based education including advanced lung disease processes
- Competitive nursing ratios with 3-4:1 on days and 3-4:1 on nights
- Highly involved core management team including our clinical director, unit supervisors, and patient navigator to assist with education and transitional care needs
- A zero-tolerance policy for negativity or disrespect between team members
- Clinical technicians to provide CNA and phlebotomy support
Qualities that would make you right for our team:
- Above all a passion for patient care
Requires a minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting
Minimum Education Requirement: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. must complete BSN within 5 years of start date BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required and ACLS strongly preferred (must obtain within first 3 months)
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
