JOB PURPOSE:

The Community Benefit Coordinator assists with the development and implementation of programs and initiatives in the communities. This position will focus on program development, partnership creation and new opportunity identification. This position also monitors the success of the programs and initiatives and makes changes based off that information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Assist with researching and identifying relevant industry standards.
Identifying, cultivating and diversifying resources within the communities.
Assist with policy and strategy development.
Assist with developing media releases for Community Development Department events and programs.
Attend community events and meetings as needed.
Assist with contract and agreement development.
Attend facility events and meetings as needed.
Make calls to engage community partnerships to customers and clients as needed.
Participate in weekly Community and Business development meetings with members of the growth team.
Assist as needed with the yearly budget for the department.
Create and maintain relationships in the communities that will assist with creating and implementing the various programs created by the department.
Identifies and resolves problems.
Update job knowledge by studying trends in social determents statewide as well as in the specific counties.
Maintains database of community partners and updates those partners using a customer relations management software.
Attends monthly rounding meeting with department director to provides updates on all assigned projects.
Other duties as assigned.

Act as a preceptor as requested.
Demonstrate excellent work attendance and actively participate in a variety of meetings and training sessions as required.
Adhere to the Avem Health Partners Code of Conduct and Standards of Behavior. Complies with established policies and procedures and all health and safety requirements.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree required; masters preferred.
Experience in healthcare or public health preferred.
Consistently demonstrates a professional, self-directed, mature, disciplined and tactful approach to department responsibilities.
Practices good guest relations with patients, visitors, and community leaders, assists as needed.
Skills in data management as well as the ability to collect, analyze, and present data to groups and individuals.
General understanding and ability to research Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services regulations.
Intermediate computer skills.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:

Valid driver’s license
